What is Laminated Dental Veneer?

Lamina means leaf in Latin. It is a technique that is applied by thinning only the anterior surfaces of the teeth by 0.4-1 mm without cutting the teeth from all sides and in which the healthy tooth tissue is lost to a minimum. It is applied by sticking porcelain tooth laminates to the thinned area.

Due to its thin appearance and fragile-looking structure, it can be said to be as delicate as a leaf. However, this is just an image. When applied to the tooth, it has a very resistant and robust structure. Laminated tooth veneer, especially preferred by those who care about its visual appearance, gives very successful results when applied by physicians. It is preferred because it does not harm the tooth, is aesthetic and has a long life.

Diş Hekimliğinin dijitalleşmesi ile pmma reçineler kullanımı , ağız içi tarayıcılarla alınan üç boyutlu ölçüler ile 24 saat içinde daimi lamina, inley ve kaplamaların bitirilmesini mümkün olmsını sağlamıştır.

Porcelain lamina dental treatment is not a method that can be applied to everyone.

There are two different types of laminated tooth veneer that are widely used according to the material used.

Composite Laminate

It is a composite-based lamina type that corrects problems such as broken, crooked, discolored teeth covering the surface. This application, which can be done in a single session, is more affordable than porcelain laminate. Here, the dental complaint and the patient's request are important. During the examination, the physician can immediately apply the composite laminate process. It is a very simple application that does not require a long time. Bruises and fractures, which distort the visual appearance, undergo great restorative work with the meticulous work of your physician. In one session  application is made.

Porcelain Laminated

Porcelain laminate is a method widely used in dentistry. It is made in special machines after precise measurements taken with optical or traditional methods and applied to the mouth. It can be called a dental restoration that is easily applied to teeth with large gaps, discoloration reaching disturbing levels, broken and deformed teeth. Porcelain leaves prepared as a thin layer are adhered to the surface in harmony with the gums.
